In a recent interview with Oracle, Matt Wright, CTO of Rubicon Red, shares his insights on Oracle Cloud Platform.

Matt describes how Integration Cloud Service, Java Cloud Service, and Process Cloud Service enable customers to easily and rapidly deliver applications and processes, and integrate SaaS and on-premise applications.

Integration Cloud Service (ICS) provides a key capability to integrate those SaaS-based apps that are popping up everywhere, and easily bring them into an integrated whole.  Additionally, ICS includes a comprehensive recommendation engine which provides a way to share and re-use mappings. For Rubicon Red, as a partner, this means we can publish pre-built integrations and recommendations to the Oracle Cloud Marketplace.

Java Cloud Service (JCS) is important for us, as we are working with some of our key clients, to quickly provision the Middleware stack on Java Cloud Service to start application development and testing, without bringing on-premise infrastructure online.

Matt says Oracle Cloud Platform services can be integrated and used together to build compelling cloud-based solutions.  For example, if I have a simple employee on-boarding process to implement, I can use Application Builder Cloud Service to build a quick data form to capture some data items, then use Process Cloud Service to drive the on-boarding process, and kick off some documents using Documents Cloud Service.  Oracle Cloud Platform can be used to build end-to-end processes that every organization needs, but in the past, have not had the capability to easily implement.
